1. User-Submitted Content

Encased ("the Vault") is a platform for user-submitted creative concepts. All fragments — including titles, descriptions, and reasons for abandonment — are submitted by individual users and reflect their personal accounts, opinions, and creative expressions. Encased does not create, author, verify, or endorse any fragment content.

Encased operates as a neutral hosting platform under the principle of user-generated content. Fragments should be understood as personal narratives and creative concepts, not as verified factual documents or official historical records.

2. Donor Agreement

By submitting a fragment to Encased, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the original creator of the submitted content, or you have the legal right to share it;
• The content does not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property rights, trade secrets, or confidentiality obligations;
• The content is not defamatory, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful;
• You grant Encased a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute the fragment as part of the Vault;
• You understand that once published, fragments are publicly visible and may be indexed by search engines;
• If your fragment references real individuals, companies, or events, you have taken reasonable care to ensure accuracy and fairness.

Encased reserves the right to remove any fragment, at any time, for any reason, without notice.

3. Fragment Licenses

Each fragment displays its donor's chosen license:

• Attribution — You may use the concept freely, provided you credit the original donor.
• Free — The concept is in the public domain. No attribution required.
• Negotiation — You must contact the donor before using the concept.

Encased is not a party to any license agreement between donors and users. Disputes over concept usage must be resolved between the parties directly.

4. DMCA / Copyright Takedown

If you believe any fragment on Encased infringes your copyright, please email dmca@encased.online with:

• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
• The URL of the specific fragment you believe is infringing;
• Your contact information (name, address, email, phone);
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized;
• A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate.

Encased will review and respond to valid DMCA notices within 7 business days, which may include removing the fragment from public view pending resolution.

5. Privacy

Encased collects only the information you voluntarily provide when donating a fragment (name, optional email, and fragment content). Your email is never displayed publicly or shared with third parties. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics services, or advertising networks. We store your IP address temporarily for anti-spam rate limiting only (deleted within 60 seconds).

Encased does not require account registration. You may donate fragments under a pseudonym. We have no way to verify or validate your real identity.

6. General Disclaimer

The Vault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Encased disclaims all liability for fragment content, including but not limited to factual inaccuracies, alleged defamation, or intellectual property disputes arising from user-submitted content. By using Encased, you agree that your sole remedy for any dispute with fragment content is to request its removal via the DMCA process above.
